Volunteer Guide

Connections build communities and our purpose is to build a community where people come together to help, listen, support and understand each other. A Community Support Volunteer at NABI is a trained individual who provides basic emotional support to our users dealing with any emotional crisis or distress and provides you with any resources you may need through chat.
If you're a Psychology student looking for internships, this is an opportunity for you to make a difference by giving your valuable time to someone in need of emotional support or just to hear them out. Requirements:
To be a community support volunteer at Nabi, you must be pursuing psychology, or have a bachelor's/master's degree in psychology. You must also be interested in contributing your time to listen to people who need support with your compassion and help them navigate any challenges they may be facing.
How to apply:

Download the NABI app through Play Store or IOS.

Register with your email ID, and set up your profile on NABI by filling in all the necessary details.

After registering, click on the 'Better Together' feature on the home screen. Choose 'Be a community support volunteer'

Fill out the Community Support Volunteer Application with all your details, submit your application, and please be patient while you hear back from us.

Please note our applications open only from 1st - 7th of every month.
Trainings & Focus Groups:

After being selected to be a community support volunteer, you will undergo a training session which will take place every 2nd Saturday of the month followed by a focus group session every 4th saturday.
Our training sessions train the volunteers to help our users who are facing challenges navigating their mental health. We train our volunteers to deal with our users' situations with utmost empathy and compassion. Every training session is led by a therapist from team NABI. These training sessions also ensure the practical application of these skills by our volunteers while chatting with our users.​

Our focus group sessions are for answering any queries that the volunteers may have. The focus group sessions take place every 4th Saturday of each month. All Community support volunteers are compulsorily required to attend our focus group sessions and volunteer training.

The duration of the internship will be for a minimum of 2 months (30 hours)
